Drop-In Children’s Physiotherapy Support and Q&A drop-in session
Join us Wednesday 17th December to meet the lovely Laura and Katharine from The Dyer Street clinic, Cirencester.
They will be here at Kids Stuff Cirencester to share their knowledge and guidance parents & carers in Paediatric Musculoskeletal & Neurodisability Physiotherapy.
At Dyer Street Clinic, They understand how worrying it can be when something doesn’t feel quite right with your child’s development. Their specialist team is here to help find you and your child the support needed.
Some common concerns available for discussion include;
👶 Complications around birth – including difficult or early delivery
🩺 Concerns identified before birth – such as abnormalities picked up during pregnancy
🧠 Torticollis (head tilt or turning preference) and flat head shape (plagiocephaly)
🦶 Unusual foot positions – like positional talipes (feet turned in or out)
🧸 Muscle tone concerns – whether your baby feels unusually floppy or stiff when moving their arms or legs
🚼 Developmental delays – such as not rolling, sitting, crawling or walking when expected
🧬 Genetic conditions – including Down’s syndrome, Rett Syndrome, and Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy
🚶♂️ Walking pattern issues – like toe-walking, in-toeing, or walking that seems uneven or unsteady
⚖️ Balance and coordination problems – such as frequent falls, clumsiness, or difficulty keeping up with peers in physical activities
🧩 Neurological conditions – including Cerebral Palsy, Brain Injury, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Spina Bifida, Spinal Cord Injury, and Transverse Myelitis
🛠️ Ongoing support for long-term conditions – including help with building independence and navigating the transition from children’s to adult services
📝 Detailed assessment and reports – tailored for schools, healthcare teams, or onward referrals
📄 Supportive documentation for EHCP applications – including reports and recommendations that clearly outline your child’s physical needs and required support
💬 No concern is ever too small. If you’re unsure or worried, we’re here to listen, assess, and guide you through the next steps with compassion and clarity.
💬 With many years of experience working within the NHS, Katharine is very happy to offer co-management alongside your NHS paediatric physiotherapist. This can be a helpful option for parents who would like more regular or frequent appointments for their child while continuing with their existing NHS support.
